L’Ivoirien Moussa Sangaré a été élu, jeudi à Abidjan, président de la Fédération des associations des contrôleurs aériens (FACAA) de l’Agence pour la sécurité de la navigation aérienne en Afrique et à Madagascar (ASECNA).Son élection a eu lieu à l’issue de la 4e Assemblée générale ordinaire de la Fédération des associations des contrôleurs aériens (FACAA) qui s’est déroulée du 25 au 27 mai 2021 à Abidjan.
Le nouveau président de la FACAA de l’ASECNA qui arrive à la tête de l’organisation dans un contexte marqué par la pandémie de Covid-19, a déclaré vouloir « redynamiser les instances de cette fédération ». Il a assuré vouloir « mettre un accent particulier sur la formation des membres » afin de pouvoir avoir un ciel sûr, conscient que « c’est une aventure qui ne sera pas facile ». Le repositionnement des avions, dira-t-il, se fera avec de nouvelles technologies qui devraient être bien maîtrisées par les agents. C’est pourquoi la formation s’impose pour des résultats probants. M. Louis Bakienon, directeur de l’exploitation de la navigation aérienne, représentant le directeur général de l’ASECNA, Mohamed Moussa, s’est félicité de ces assises qui ont permis un diagnostic de l’écosystème et la sécurité aérienne.
Au cours de la session, il a fait observer les métiers de l’avenir dans le secteur, notamment les métiers innovants, la technologie par satellite qui va bientôt prendre forme au sein de l’ASECNA. L’ASECNA, au plus fort de la crise sanitaire de la Covid-19, a connu une baisse de ses activités mensuelles qui ont chuté pour s’établir à 20% de la normale en mai 2020. « Nous avons terminé l’année 2020 avec une régression de 53% de nos recettes d’exploitation et le premier trimestre 2021 a connu un recul de 52% par rapport à 2020 », a fait savoir M. Bakienon. Toutefois, dira-t-il, l’agence a su montrer sa capacité de résilience en maintenant la qualité des prestations aux usagers de l’air afin de donner satisfaction aux États membres. L’agence, aujourd’hui, a réussi à l’implémentation de la technologie novatrice du SBAS dont les services augmentent les performances de positionnement fournies par les constellations existantes comme le GPS ou GALILEO. L’Ivoirien Moussa Sangaré, nouveau président de la Fédération des associations des contrôleurs aériens (FACAA) de l’ASECNA, succède à Alain Zida à la tête de cette organisation.
