L’Expo 2020 Dubaï constitue une opportunité unique de créer un temps fort d’expression pour le Royaume sur la scène internationale et de promotion des talents marocains, a affirmé la commissaire générale de la section marocaine, Nadia Fettah Alaoui. Cette exposition sera l’un des premiers rassemblements d’envergure mondiale depuis l’apparition de la pandémie, a-t-elle relevé, estimant qu’il s’agit d’une raison de plus pour le Maroc pour être présent parmi les 190 pays participants, pour partager sa vision ambitieuse d’un avenir durable, et apporter sa contribution aux efforts et à la collaboration mondiale pour une relance économique post-Covid.
La participation du Maroc veillera à valoriser l’image d’un pays moderne, engagé, en pleine mutation et qui œuvre pour un impact positif pour les générations futures, à renforcer son attractivité économique, commerciale et touristique, et à consolider l’échange avec les autres pays participants, dans une vision de progrès durable et partagé, a souligné Mme Alaoui dans un communiqué du Commissariat général rendu public mardi. «Nous ne pouvions pas envisager notre participation sans clamer notre foi en l’avenir par une approche volontariste et responsable, inspirée de nos héritages. C’est pour cela que notre stratégie de présence a été pensée autour d’un thème central : Héritages pour l’avenir», a-t-elle fait savoir. Et de préciser que l’objectif est de raconter l’histoire d’un Maroc fier de ses origines qui ont forgé son identité : en termes de patrimoine, de valeurs, de grands Hommes, de ressources naturelles, de position géographique privilégiée, etc.
Cette édition est la première organisée dans un pays de la région MEASA (Moyen-Orient – Afrique – Asie du Sud), a-t-elle souligné, notant que la participation à l’Expo 2020 Dubaï permettra de mettre en avant les racines africaines du Maroc et sa position singulière.
A rappeler que l’Exposition Universelle Dubaï 2020 se déroulera du 1er octobre 2021 au 31 mars 2022, sur une durée de 6 mois.
