C’est une situation inédite dans le temple de Temis tchadien où des magistrats veulent se constituer en groupe d’autodéfense. En effet, le Tchad est confronté à une grève illimitée des magistrats depuis le 28 juin 2021. Après l’assassinat d’un procureur à l’intérieur du pays ,ils exigent plus de sécurité, notamment le port d’une arme de poing. Et pour la première fois dans le pays, les tribunaux sont fermés.
Soutenu par les avocats du barreau du Tchad, le mouvement d’humeur se poursuit à travers le territoire national.
L’appareil judiciaire est paralysé par cette grève. Au palais de justice de N’Djamena, les magistrats ont rangé leurs toges noires dans les placards depuis lundi. Les justiciables tournent en rond, puisqu’ils sont éconduits devant le palais de justice par les agents de sécurité qui assurent la protection des lieux.
Ils revendiquent, entre autres, la dotation de tous les magistrats en armes de poing, le renforcement des effectifs des agents de sécurité dans tous les tribunaux du Tchad, la poursuite judiciaire contre certains agents de police, la poursuite de la ministre des affaires foncières pour abus de confiance, abus d’autorité et outrage à magistrat.
Pour Taoka Bruno, président du Syndicat autonome des magistrats du Tchad que nous avons pu joindre, les magistrats tchadiens travaillent dans des conditions très difficiles et avec la peur au ventre.
« Aujourd’hui, il y a des personnes incontrôlables, il y a des armes qui circulent. Les conditions de travail des magistrats ne sont pas réunies, certains travaillent dans des palais complètement délabrés où les locaux ne sont pas clôturés », a-t-il soutenu . Il ajoute que « son organisation n’a cessez d’alerter les autorités sur les menaces qui pèsent sur les magistrats. Mais le gouvernement n’a pas pris au sérieux » leurs alertes, d’où le déclenchement de ce mouvement de grève.
