Quatre footballeurs locaux en Somalie ont été tués lorsqu’une explosion qui aurait été causée par une bombe a explosé leur bus le vendredi 30 juillet.
Selon les médias locaux, dix joueurs du club de la Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Jubaland se dirigeaient vers un match au stade de la ville de Kismayo, dans le sud de la Somalie, lorsque l’explosion a frappé.
“Les joueurs étaient à bord d’un bus lorsque l’explosion s’est produite, vraisemblablement à l’intérieur du véhicule. Des enquêtes sont en cours mais nous supposons que l’appareil a été planté dans le bus », a déclaré le policier Mohamed Sadiq.
Il a déclaré que quatre joueurs de football avaient été tués et cinq autres blessés.
“L’explosion était énorme et elle a provoqué un incendie dévastateur qui a incendié le bus, les gens se sont précipités pour enlever les cadavres et les joueurs blessés », a déclaré le témoin Ibrahim Ahmed.
Il n’y a eu aucune revendication immédiate de la responsabilité de l’explosion de Kismayo, la capitale de l’État méridional du Jubaland, frontalier du Kenya. Mais le groupe terroriste basé en Somalie al-Shabaab a été responsable de plusieurs attaques dans le pays de la Corne de l’Afrique.
