À quelques jours du deuxième anniversaire de sa disparition, « DJ Arafat », de son vrai nom Ange Didier Houon, mort d’un accident de la route, le 12 août 2019, à Abidjan, a été « ressuscité ». Pour la commémoration des deux ans de la disparition du roi du Coupé-Décalé, ses fans communément appelé la « Chine populaire » ou la « Yorogang », ont décidé de lui réserver un hommage à la hauteur de son statut. Ainsi, avec Badro Escobar, Olokpatcha et les autres, ils ont remplacé l’ancienne photo de Dj Arafat installée sur le lieu de l’accident de route, le 12 août 2019. En effet, une statue a été sculptée en son honneur. Le coût global de cette gigantesque opération s’élève à 4 millions FCFA, selon certains membres de la « Chine populaire ».

Celui qui fut l’ami intime de l’artiste ivoirien de son vivant, a profité de cette occasion pour adresser un message à sa communauté. « Hello la Chine. Bonne nouvelle dans le but de préserver le souvenir, honorer notre Daïshikan Dj Arafat, Roi du Coupé-Décalé. Nous avons donc eu à faire cette statue de notre président en vue de commémorer son vécu et ses incroyables réalisations pour la culture ivoirienne et africaine ! Comme vous pouvez le voir, tout est fin prêt », a-t-il annoncé.
Badro Escobar et la « Chine populaire » n’attendent plus que le feu vert des autorités ivoiriennes pour ériger cette œuvre d’art au lieu où l’artiste a connu l’accident. Chaque 12 août de l’année, les Chinois de la Côte d’ivoire et à travers le monde rendent hommage au « Daïshikan », celui qui autrefois estimait avoir plus de 100 ans de protection.
Plusieurs fans et internautes ont réagi à la publication de Badro Escobar à travers le monde. « Badro, j’apprécie beaucoup et surtout continue à soutenir les enfants de ton frère. Un fan depuis Lomé.
