Un assaillant brandissant un fusil d’assaut a tué deux policiers mercredi près de l’ambassade de France en Tanzanie, a-t-on appris de source officielle.
L’incident a eu lieu dans la capitale tanzanienne Dar es Salaam, où se situe l’ambassade.
L’assaillant a par la suite été abattu, selon une déclaration de la police.
« Nous avons perdu nos deux agents, et la personne qui les a tués a été tuée », a déclaré l’inspecteur général de la police Simon Sirro dans une courte vidéo publiée par Millard Ayo, un site d’information tanzanien.
Aucun détail sur l’identité de l’homme n’a été communiqué.
