Plus de 100 combattants présumés de Boko Haram et leurs familles se sont rendus à l’armée dans l’État de Borno, au nord du Nigeria .
Daily Trust rapporte que les combattants se sont rendus aux troupes dans la ville de Gwoza, zone du gouvernement local de Gwoza à Borno. Il a été conclu que l’un des commandants de la secte a conduit un total de 120 personnes, pour la plupart des jeunes à l’armée.
Une source de haute sécurité a déclaré au média que certains commandants se sont rendus avec leurs familles à la 26e brigade de la force opérationnelle à Gwoza.
« Je pense que ce que nous voyons maintenant est le résultat de la mort d’Abubakar Shekau ; sa mort a affecté le groupe. Un total de 120 membres de Boko Haram et leurs familles se sont rendus dans la ville de Gwoza aujourd’hui », a déclaré la source.
Une autre source a déclaré que les ex-combattants sont venus avec seulement leurs vêtements et leurs vélos. La source a ajouté que le fait qu’ils n’aient laissé tomber aucune arme à feu a créé le doute parmi les résidents.
