La République du Congo vient de se doter d’un nouvel hôpital général à Djiri. C’est le deuxième après celui construit en 1957. D’une capacité de 200 lits, cette infrastructure sanitaire La construction de cet hôpital s’inscrit dans le cadre du « Programme Santé Pour Tous ».
Programme lancé par le gouvernement congolais visant à construire douze hôpitaux généraux dans les douze départements du Congo. Cette infrastructure sanitaire a une capacité de 200 lits. Constitué de trois bâtiments dédiés aux filières techniques, cet hôpital comporte plusieurs services dont celui d’oncologie, alors qu’aucun autre hôpital du Congo n’en dispose. C’est du moins ce qu’a affirmé le ministre d’Equipements Jean Jacques Bouya.
L’hôpital se dote également des services de médecine générale et, en particulier, de prise en charge des cas de COVID-19.
