Le taux de dégradation net des créances en souffrances dans les banques et établissements financiers de l’Union économique et monétaire ouest africaine (UEMOA) a légèrement progresse de 0,3 point de pourcentage au terme du mois de septembre 2021 compare à la même période de 2020, selon les données de la Banque Centrale des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (BCEAO) basée à Dakar.
Ce taux de dégradation s’est établi à 4,4% contre 4,1% au mois de septembre 2020. Par rapport au mois de juin 2021 ou il se situait à 4,00%, le taux de dégradation des créances en souffrances connait également une hausse trimestrielle de 0,4 point de pourcentage.
Les crédits nets à la clientèle se sont élevés à 25 097,3milliards de FCFA contre 22 886,7 milliards en septembre 2020, soit une augmentation de 2 210,62 milliards de FCFA. De leur côté, les crédits en souffrance nets se sont établis à 1093 milliards de FCFA contre 927,1 milliards de FCFA en septembre 2020, soit un accroissement de 165,91 milliards de FCFA.
Concernant les crédits bruts à la clientèle, leur montant s’est situé à 27135,5 milliards de FCFA (contre 24855,2 milliards en septembre 2020). Sur ce montant, les crédits en souffrance bruts s’élèvent à 3,131,3 milliards de FCFA (contre 2895,6 milliards de FCFA en septembre 2020).
Ce qui donne un taux de dégradation brut de 11,5% durant la période sous revue contre 11,6% en septembre 2020, soit une diminution de 0,1 point de pourcentage. Toutefois, en variation trimestrielle, ce taux est en hausse 0,02 point de pourcentage avec une réalisation passant de 11,3% au deuxième trimestre 2021 à 11,5% un trimestre plus tard.
Les provisions constituées par les banques et établissements financiers se sont élevées à 2038,3 milliards de FCFA contre 1968,5 milliards de FCFA. Ce qui donne un taux de couverture des crédits bruts en souffrances par les provisions constituées de 65,1% contre 68,0% en septembre 2020, soit une baisse de 2,9 points de pourcentage.
Comparées au deuxième trimestre 2021 ou il s’élevait à 67,1%, le taux de couverture des crédits bruts en souffrances par les provisions constituées par les banques et établissements financiers connait également une baisse de 2 points de pourcentage.
