Après avoir chauffé Lomé et enflammé Kinshasa, le roi de la rumba congolaise, Koffi Olomidé, vient de prendre la direction du Sud du continent, pour livrer trois concerts au Malawi. C’est à travers un post sur son compte Instagram, que l’artiste a annoncé la nouvelle à ses fans. « En route pour le Sud de l’Afrique, Malawi. J’ai trois concerts à livrer, on se parle tout à l’heure… The G.O.A.T », a-t-il légendé.
Malgré son âge avancé, 65 ans, Koffi Olomidé reste très actif dans le showbiz international. Après une période agitée par son procès en France, le roi de la rumba congolaise a repris ses activités de fort belle manière. Après Lomé et Kinshasa, il se dirige vers un triple concert au Malawi. Il a annoncé l’information via son compte Instagram, suscitant la ferveur et la controverse sur la Toile. Mais, certains fans ont tout simplement demandé au « Grand Mopao » de savoir s’arrêter et de laisser la place à la nouvelle génération afin de raviver la flamme de la rumba congolaise.
« Koffi, s’il te plaît, repose-toi. Si tu ne prends pas de repos, un jour on va nous apprendre que tu es tombé aussi. Tu ne peux pas prendre la retraite ? », a déclaré Yoyo Muamba, faisant référence à la mort tragique, en plein concert, de Papa Wemba, à Abidjan, des suites d’un malaise sur scène.
