Le laboratoire Pfizer va investir 520 millions d’euros sur 5 ans en France pour soutenir la production et la recherche de traitements contre le Covid-19. Le PDG Albert Bourla a également annoncé lundi qu’une partie d’un traitement anti-Covid va être produite par le sous-traitant pharmaceutique français Novasep.
Le laboratoire Pfizer compte investir 520 millions d’euros sur 5 ans en France pour lutter contre le Covid-19, a déclaré, lundi 17 janvier, le PDG de Pfizer, Albert Bourla, à BFM TV.
Il a ajouté que Pfizer s’apprête à confier au sous-traitant pharmaceutique français Novasep, sur son site de Mourenx (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), une partie de la production mondiale du principe actif de sa pilule anti-Covid. Pfizer a indiqué que les activités de transfert technique, de développement et d’installation des équipements sur ce site commenceront aussi tôt que possible.
Le laboratoire s’est également engagé à travailler avec les établissements de santé en France dans le but d’augmenter significativement le recrutement de patients dans ses essais cliniques au cours des cinq prochaines années.
