Spotify fait face à un ressac d’artistes qui retirent leurs chansons du service de streaming pour s’insurger contre ces agissements.
Hier (30 janvier), Meghan et Harry ont publié un communiqué officiel pour commenter la situation. Archewell, l’organisation caritative du couple, a déclaré qu’ils avaient fait part de leurs réoccupations à Spotify et qu’ils continuaient à le faire «pour s’assurer que des changements soient apportés à sa plate-forme pour aider à résoudre cette crise de santé publique.»
Spotify a déclaré qu’elle cherchait à équilibrer «à la fois la sécurité pour les auditeurs et la liberté pour les créateurs» et avait supprimé plus de 20 000 épisodes de podcasts liés à la COVID-19 depuis le début de la pandémie.
