La junte militaire au pouvoir depuis la semaine dernière au Burkina Faso a rencontré mardi à la présidence à Ouagadougou les responsables des principaux partis politiques du pays, nombreux à se dire prêts à accompagner la transition.
Les leaders politiques ont été reçus pendant un peu plus d’une demi-heure par le chef de la junte, le lieutenant-colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba.
« Les déclarations du chef de l’Etat vont dans le sens de ramener la paix. Nous le saluons », a déclaré le chef de file de l’opposition avant le putsch, Eddie Komboïgo.
« Il souhaite aller vite et bien », a-t-il ajouté, appelant la communauté internationale à lui « apporter un soutien pour qu’il puisse réussir sa mission ».
Lundi, une délégation conjointe de la Communauté des Etats d’Afrique de l’Ouest et de l’ONU avait rencontré la junte au pouvoir, estimant qu’elle était « très ouverte » aux discussions.
Mardi matin, Alassane Bala Sakandé, président du Mouvement du peuple pour le progrès (MPP), l’ex-parti au pouvoir qui était encore chef du Parlement avant le coup d’Etat, était également présent à la rencontre au palais présidentiel.
Il n’a pas souhaité s’exprimer à la sortie, car il avait été autorisé à rendre visite dans la foulée au président renversé Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, en liberté surveillée depuis le putsch.
A l’image de M. Komboïgo, d’autres opposants ont indiqué être à l’écoute des propositions de la junte et de son chef le colonel Damiba.
« Notre devoir, c’est de faire en sorte qu’il réussisse et en tant qu’hommes politiques, nous avons besoin qu’il nous fasse confiance », a déclaré Alain Zoubga, un ancien proche de Blaise Compaoré, président du Burkina de 1987 à 2014 renversé par une insurrection populaire.
« Ils ont dit leur ouverture vis-à-vis de tous ceux qui peuvent apporter leur contribution, selon l’expérience et la compétence, pas selon l’appartenance à un parti politique. Ils veulent être dans l’apolitisme pour le moment », a de son côté affirmé Achille Tapsoba, du Congrès pour la démocratie et le progrès (CDP), l’ex-parti de Blaise Compaoré.
