Les activités de la filiale gabonaise du groupe français TotalEnergies sont reparties à la hausse après une stagnation consécutive à l’irruption de la crise sanitaire liée au Coronavirus. Un regain d’activités qui s’est soldé en 2021 par un chiffre d’affaires de 655 millions dollars contre 435 millions de dollars pour en 2020, ce qui représente un accroissement de 51%.
Une forte progression qui s’explique notamment par la hausse des prix de vente du pétrole sur le marché international, soit 64,8 dollars le baril, en augmentation de plus de 100% par rapport à l’année précédente du prix moyen du Brent et la qualité du brut commercialisé par ladite entreprise au cours de la période concernée.
D’après des chiffres, la part de production de pétrole brut liée aux participations de TotalEnergies EP Gabon s’est élevée en 2021 à 22.900 barils par jour, en baisse de -11% par rapport aux 24.700 barils au cours des six premiers mois de l’année, en hausse 7% en comparaison avec 2020.
Une contreperformance qui s’explique par plusieurs facteurs, entre autres, la cession des participations dans sept champs matures en mer, des arrêts partiels de la production pour des raisons techniques dans certains champs et le déclin naturel des champs.
