Au Togo, un incendie d’origine inconnue pour l’heure, s’est déclenché, lundi 21 février dans la soirée, au parc de vente de véhicules d’occasion au Port autonome de Lomé. Selon la presse locale, le feu a ravagé plusieurs véhicules exposés au parc de la Société Libano-Togolaise de Transport (SLTT), avant d’être maîtrisé par les sapeurs-pompiers.
Le sinistre est survenu peu avant 22 heures alors que les activités venaient à peine de fermer, d’après certains riverains, tandis que d’autres indiquent que l’incendie s’est déclaré, plus tôt dans la soirée.
D’après les médias locaux, le feu d’origine inconnue a consumé plusieurs voitures exposées dans le parc de la SLTT. On parle également de dégâts matériels importants. Aucune perte en vies humaines n’a été rapportée.
Pour rappel, un incendie avait déjà ravagé des magasins de coton dans la zone portuaire en juillet 2021. En novembre de la même année, c’est une usine de fabrication de mousse et matelas, près du port qui était partie en fumée.
