La situation sécuritaire au Burkina Faso est fort préoccupante. Les attaques terroristes et les violences intercommunautaires ont entrainé d’énormes déplacements de populations et le dysfonctionnement de nombreuses administrations (fermeture d’établissements scolaires et de santé…) ainsi que l’arrêt de nombreux services publics.
Cette situation dramatique a instauré une crise humanitaire sans précèdent au « Pays des hommes intègres ».
Selon le Conseil national de secours d’urgence et de réhabilitation (CONASUR), à la date du 30 septembre 2021, « le Burkina comptait 1 407 685 personnes déplacées internes (PDI) dont 47 573 personnes déplacées internes dans la Boucle du Mouhoun, avec 27 320 enfants ».
Selon la même source, dans la Boucle du Mouhoun, 270 établissements scolaires sont fermés, affectant ainsi 42 666 élèves.
Face à cette situation, l’OCADES Caritas Burkina à Dédougou intervient auprès des personnes déplacées internes, par des initiatives, pour soulager leur quotidien.
Parmi ces initiatives, on note la formation des jeunes filles déplacées internes, l’accompagnement des femmes déplacées internes dans des activités génératrices de revenus, la distribution de kits d’hygiène au profit des ménages déplacés internes, le cash transfert au profit des ménages déplacés internes et ménages hôtes vulnérables.
