Le Premier ministre britannique Boris Johnson a estimé dimanche qu’en mettant en alerte la force nucléaire, le président russe Vladimir Poutine cherchait à détourner l’attention de la forte résistance opposée sur le terrain aux troupes russes.
«Je pense que c’est une distraction de la réalité de ce qui se passe en Ukraine», a déclaré le dirigeant, après une rencontre avec des membres de la communauté ukrainienne à Londres. «C’est un peuple innocent qui fait face à une agression totalement non provoquée, et ce qui se passe vraiment, c’est qu’ils se défendent peut-être avec plus d’effet, plus de résistance, que ce que s’imaginait le Kremlin», a-t-il ajouté.
