Improbable, mais vrai. Selon la BBC, la plateforme spécialisée dans le contenu pour adulte OnlyFans et Meta, ancien groupe Facebook, font actuellement l’objet de deux poursuites judiciaires. Accusé par l’un de ses concurrents FanCentro, ainsi que par un recours collectif composé de plusieurs créateurs de contenu pour adulte, le réseau social doit répondre à de lourdes accusations, sur fond de concurrence déloyale et de conspiration terroriste.
Des artistes X cités dans une liste antiterroriste
Selon les accusations portées contre OnlyFans, la firme aurait délibérément fait apparaître certains créateurs et créatrices de contenu concurrents sur le GIFCT, forum international de lutte antiterroriste. Si les personnes citées n’avaient a priori rien à voir avec le milieu terroriste, cette action aurait eu pour effet immédiat d’entraîner une importante baisse de trafic sur les sites concurrents d’OnlyFans. Selon FanCentro, le problème ne serait pas isolé, et concernerait principalement la plateforme Instagram, que de nombreuses personnalités pour adultes utilisent comme vitrine d’appel, sans pour autant proposer de contenu ouvertement pornographique.
OnlyFans et Facebook se défendent
Sans surprise, OnlyFans a fermement nié les accusations portées à son encontre, rapportant à la BBC que ces dernières étaient “sans aucun fondement”. De son côté aussi, Meta est monté au créneau. L’entreprise est accusée d’avoir laissé faire en toute connaissance de cause, ce qu’elle réfute totalement. Elle a cependant indiqué qu’elle restait prête à traiter ces allégations “dans le contexte du litige si nécessaire”.
Enfin, le GIFCT a de son côté, nié toute implication. L’organisme de lutte antiterroriste a simplement indiqué qu’il n’avait connaissance “d’aucune preuve à l’appui des théories présentées dans ce procès entre deux parties”.
Il faut dire que si OnlyFans fait office de précurseur sur le marché des réseaux sociaux ouverts à la pornographie, la plateforme n’est plus aussi florissante qu’avant. Il y a quelques mois, la décision surprise du site de supprimer tout son contenu pour adulte a eu l’effet d’une bombe auprès de ses utilisateurs et utilisatrices.
