La décision finale sur cette nouvelle sanction en réponse à l’invasion de l’Ukraine, qui serait prise en coordination avec le G7 et l’Union européenne, revient pour ce qui concerne les États-Unis au Congrès, a indiqué la même source, confirmant les informations de plusieurs médias américains. Il devrait s’agir d’une formalité puisque le même Congrès, dans un rare élan bipartisan, s’est d’ores et déjà déclaré favorable à une telle mesure.
L’agenda du président américain vendredi prévoit qu’il s’exprime à 10H15 heure locale (20H15 GMT) pour annoncer de nouvelles mesures en réponse à “la guerre non provoquée et injustifiée” de la Russie contre l’Ukraine.
