Une tornade a touché terre mardi soir en Louisiane. Selon un média local, une personne a été tuée à Arabi, en banlieue de La Nouvelle-Orléans, et de nombreuses habitations ont été touchées.
Une tornade a frappé mardi 22 mars la Louisiane, dans le sud des États-Unis, faisant au moins un mort et détruisant un grand nombre d’habitations.
« Une importante tornade touche le sol à la Nouvelle-Orléans ! Mettez-vous à l’abri maintenant ! », a tweeté le service national météorologique, depuis la Nouvelle-Orléans, à 20 h 35 (2 h 35 GMT).
« Des dommages importants aux habitations » ont été signalés à Arabi, une banlieue située à l’est de La Nouvelle-Orléans, selon un message publié sur Facebook par le bureau du shérif de la paroisse de Saint-Bernard. « Des opérations de secours sont en cours pour venir en aide aux habitants pris au piège dans leurs maisons », ajoute-t-il.
