Deux Arabes israéliens identifiés par le renseignement de l’État hébreu comme des agents locaux de l’organisation État islamique ont été éliminés après une attaque à Hadera, dans le nord d’Israël, dans laquelle deux policiers ont trouvé la mort dimanche.
Au moins deux policiers sont morts et plusieurs personnes ont été blessées dans une attaque revendiquée par l’organisation État islamique (OEI) dans la ville israélienne de Hadera (nord) dimanche 27 mars.
Dudu Boani, haut responsable de la police dans cette région, a indiqué que les deux morts étaient deux policiers et que des forces spéciales avaient tué les assaillants, deux Arabes israéliens identifiés par le renseignement israélien comme des agents locaux de l’OEI.
« Deux membres des forces de police juives ont été tués et plusieurs ont été blessés dans une attaque d’un commando infiltré », a revendiqué l’OEI dans un communiqué diffusé lundi sur un site de propagande, indiquant que deux de ses militants étaient les auteurs de cette fusillade.
Arme automatique
Les images des caméras de surveillance de Hadera, ville située entre Tel-Aviv et Haïfa, montrent deux hommes ouvrant le feu à l’arme automatique dans une rue où circulent des voitures, avant de se diriger vers le trottoir.

Ayman Odeh, chef de file de la « Liste unie », un regroupement de partis politiques arabes israéliens concentrant ses appuis dans le nord du pays, a condamné l’attaque, estimant qu’elle « n’avait rien à voir avec la lutte politique que le public arabe mène pour ses droits ».
Dans des communiqués différents, les mouvements islamistes armés palestiniens du Hamas et du Jihad islamique ont salué « l’opération héroïque de Hadera », le Hamas disant quelle avait été « menée en réponse au sommet de normalisation sur notre terre ».
Sommet du Néguev
L’attaque intervient alors qu’Israël accueillait dimanche et lundi un sommet réunissant les chefs de la diplomatie des États-Unis, de l’Égypte, des Émirats, du Bahreïn et du Maroc dans une localité du désert du Néguev (sud).
Le ministre israélien de la Défense, Benny Gantz, a tenu en soirée des consultations avec le chef de la police et de l’armée, tandis que le Premier ministre, Naftali Bennett, qui s’était entretenu plus tôt en journée à Jérusalem avec le secrétaire d’État américain Antony Blinken, s’est rendu à Hadera. Il s’y est entretenu avec des responsables locaux, a indiqué son bureau.
Le chef de la diplomatie israélienne, Yaïr Lapid, a indiqué avoir « informé » les participants au sommet du Néguev. « Tous les ministres des Affaires étrangères ont condamné l’attaque et transmis leurs condoléances aux familles des victimes », a-t-il dit dans un communiqué.
