Quelques jours après le sommet des chefs d’État de la Cédéao qui s’est tenu à Accra le 25 mars dernier, le gouvernement burkinabè a réagi. Dans un communiqué, les chefs d’État de la Cédéao s’étaient dits très préoccupés par la durée de la transition fixée à 36 mois et avaient également demandé la libération sans délai et sans condition de l’ex-président Roch Marc Christian Kaboré.
Le gouvernement bukinabè dit prendre « acte » de l’analyse de la situation sociopolitique faite par le sommet et la volonté du sommet de nommer un médiateur afin de faciliter le dialogue entre les parties prenantes et d’assurer une transition réussie.
Concernant la durée de la transition, le porte-parole du gouvernement souligne qu’elle a été adoptée de façon consensuelle durant les assises nationales. « Le gouvernement du Burkina Faso ne subit qu’un seul délai, celui de bien faire les choses, celui d’agencer son action en fonction des réalités du terrain », souligne Wendkouni Lionel Bilgo.
Résidence familiale pour Roch Kaboré
Sur le cas de l’ex-président Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, le porte-parole du gouvernement assure que des concertations ont été initiées depuis trois semaines pour son retour dans une résidence familiale de son choix. « Lorsqu’une solution sera arrêtée, il sera en résidence avec une sécurité adaptée », fait savoir le ministre Bilgo, sans pour autant préciser si l’ex-chef d’État sera libre de ses mouvements.
À la question de savoir si le gouvernement ne craint pas des sanctions, la cheffe de la diplomatie burkinabè plaide plutôt pour un accompagnement de la Cédéao. « Le Burkina Faso est à la croisée des chemins. Il a mal en son aspect humanitaire, sécuritaire, alimentaire et la situation est très exacerbée », martèle Olivia Ragnaghnewendé Rouamba. Elle ajoute qu’il ne sied pas de prendre des mesures draconiennes dans un tel contexte, sinon cela pourrait pousser les Burkinabè dans une posture de survie. Elle explique par ailleurs que la Cédéao n’est pas une organisation de sanction, mais plutôt une structure d’accompagnement.
Une délégation conduite par Jean-Claude Kassi Brou, président de la Commission de la Cédéao est attendue à Ouagadougou ce vendredi 1er avril.
