Faites tourner le lave-linge plutôt ce week-end: le gestionnaire du réseau électrique RTE prévoit une situation tendue lundi matin en raison du froid et appelle donc entreprises et particuliers à freiner la consommation à ce moment là.
« RTE demande aux entreprises et collectivités de modérer leur consommation lundi matin (en particulier entre 07h00 et 10h00) et demande aux Français qui le peuvent de décaler leur consommation d’électricité à ce week-end plutôt que lundi en ce qui concerne l’usage d’appareils électroménagers », indique-t-il samedi dans un communiqué.
Ce signal national Ecowatt « orange » (qui peut aller jusqu’à rouge) du gestionnaire du réseau intervient en raison de la baisse des températures, qui doit faire augmenter la consommation d’électricité.
Elle sera « élevée » lundi et pourrait atteindre 73.000 MW vers 09h00. La production nationale devrait être de seulement 65.000 MW au même moment, mais la France devrait pouvoir importer jusqu’à 11.000 MW pour passer ce cap, selon RTE, qui estime que la situation pourrait toutefois être « tendue ».
« RTE n’envisage toutefois pas de coupure d’électricité lundi matin, sauf si des aléas devaient survenir ce week-end », précise l’entreprise, qui actualisera ses analyses dimanche.
Les gestes d’économie (éteindre les appareils en veille ou des ampoules, baisser le chauffage…) sont présentés sur le site .
« Ces gestes peuvent avoir un véritable impact »: « si tous les Français éteignent une ampoule, cela entraîne une économie de consommation d’électricité de 600 MW soit environ la consommation d’une ville comme celle de Toulouse », explique RTE.
Le système électrique français est sous tension cet hiver en raison notamment de la faible disponibilité du parc nucléaire, liée à un calendrier de maintenance chargé, en outre perturbé par les confinements de 2020. Actuellement, 27 réacteurs nucléaires sont indisponibles sur 56.
La centrale à charbon de Saint-Avold (Moselle) vient en outre de fermer, même si elle pourrait éventuellement être remise en fonction l’hiver prochain.
