Une levée des sanctions américaines contre l’entreprise chargée du projet de gazoduc Nord Stream 2 faciliterait une normalisation des relations entre la Russie et les Etats-Unis, a déclaré mercredi le vice-ministre russe des Affaires étrangères Sergueï Riabkov, cité par Interfax.
Le site d’informations américain Axios a rapporté que Washington se préparait à lever les sanctions contre Nord Stream 2 AG, l’entreprise chargée de ce projet de gazoduc entre la Russie et l’Allemagne. Axios a ajouté que les sanctions seraient aussi levées à l’encontre de Matthias Warnig, le directeur général de cette entreprise et un proche du président russe Vladimir Poutine.
Le géant gazier russe Gazprom, qui finance le projet, et ses partenaires occidentaux ont quasiment fini la construction de ce gazoduc, achevé à environ 95% pour l’instant.
