N’Djaména a déclaré avoir vaincu le Front pour l’Alternance et la Concorde au Tchad (FACT). C’est le groupe rebelle qui a lancé une offensive début avril pour mettre fin au règne du maréchal Idriss Deby Itno.

A N’Djamena, le pouvoir est incarné par le fils d’Idriss Deby, Mahamat. Il a été porté à la tête du Comité militaire de transition (CMT) au lendemain de la mort de son père. Décès sur lequel le chef rebelle s’est exprimé.
Selon Mahamat Mahadi Ali, Deby est allé au front parce qu’il se croyait incontournable. « Il se croyait un surhomme. C’est pourquoi nous n’avons pas été surpris par sa mort même si ce n’était pas non plus notre objectif », ajoute le rebelle. Qui a dénoncé l’intronisation de Deby fils.
Pour lui, la lutte contre le jihadisme ne saurait prospérer comme argument pour légitimer ce qu’il qualifie de « dictature » et de « coup d’Etat ».
« L’argument selon lequel le régime tchadien est un champion dans la lutte contre le djihadisme n’est pas valable pour moi, nous l’avons également combattu en Libye. La différence est que Déby a rejoint cette lutte pour rester au pouvoir pendant que nous le faisons par une ferme conviction contre le radicalisme », plaide Mahamat Mahadi Ali.
Il accuse la France de servir de faire valoir pour le régime tchadien et réfute les accusations de collision avec la Russie. « C’est pour nous discréditer », se défend le chef rebelle qui est l’homme le plus recherché du Tchad.
