Un livreur Uber Eats de 34 ans a été traité d’ »esclave » par une cliente qui attendait sa commande KFC. Originaire de Guinée-Conakry, l’homme a décidé de ne pas livrer la commande et de porter plainte dès le lendemain pour injure non publique en raison de l’origine.
Nouveau scandale autour des plateformes de livraison de repas. Vendredi 14 mai, un livreur Uber Eats de 34 ans, a reçu un message d’une cliente le traitant d’esclave et lui intimant de se dépêcher. Prénommé Yaya, ce dernier était alors sur la route pour livrer la commande KFC de l’utilisatrice en question, comme le rapporte France Bleu.
Blessé moralement et très en colère, Yaya a donc pris l’initiative de ne pas honorer la commande et a contacté la plateforme Uber Eats. Cette dernière a soutenu son livreur et a annulé la commande.

Un message raciste
À cause de l’heure tardive, le livreur a attendu le samedi matin pour aller porter plainte à la gendarmerie pour injure non publique en raison de l’origine. Yaya estime en effet que l’utilisatrice l’a insulté de la sorte parce qu’elle pouvait voir sa photo sur l’application et donc la couleur noire de sa peau.
De son côté, la plateforme Uber Eats a fait savoir qu’elle allait bloquer le compte de la cliente et qu’elle soutenait le livreur dans ses démarches. Enfin, elle a rappelé dans un communiqué qu’elle collaborait avec les forces de police et qu’elle « ne saurait tolérer aucune discrimination envers les livreurs, restaurants et les clients, que cela soit en raison de leur origine, de leur religion, de leur handicap, de leur orientation ou identité sexuelle, de leur situation familiale, de leur âge ou tout autre facteur de discrimination. »
