Selon le quotidien Le Potentiel, il est impliqué dans une affaire d’escroquerie et serait en fuite en raison des dettes pesantes auxquelles il fait face.
Patron de global Service, une entreprise spécialisée dans l’immobilier, le pasteur Edgard Guidibi est introuvable depuis quelques semaines. L’information vient de nos confrères du quotidien Le Potentiel dans la parution du mardi 25 mai 2021. D’après le journal, ce Béninois bien connu dans le domaine de l’immobilier ainsi que dans le secteur religieux, serait en désaccord avec ses clients de Global service immobilier.
« Visiblement Empêtré dans une vaste escroquerie de ses clients, Edgard Guidibi détale du Bénin », a titré le média à la Une de sa parution. Selon la même source le fils de l’ancien DG de la loterie nationale ne supporterait plus le poids des dettes accumulées par son entreprise. Cette posture dans laquelle il se trouve, rappelle le 27 février 2020 lorsqu’il a été placé sous mandat de dépôt à la prison civile de Cotonou pour escroquerie.
À cette époque-là également, ce sont des brouilles financières qui avaient le pasteur Edgard Guidibi dans une sale posture. Il était visé par la justice à cause d’une histoire d’investissement qui a mal tourné. Le mardi 10 mars 2020, à l’issue d’un procès, il a été condamné à 8 mois de prison avec sursis et 500 000 Fcfa d’amende.
