Cet emplacement de 12,5 mètres carrés est situé dans un luxueux ensemble résidentiel, dans le quartier le plus chic de la ville, sur une des montagnes surplombant l’île de Hong Kong.
Un prix démentiel, d’autant plus dans une ville où des millions d’habitants peinent à payer les loyers d’appartements souvent d’une superficie inférieure à une place de parking.
Alors que les salaires n’ont pas augmenté depuis 2008, un ouvrier qualifié aurait besoin de 22 ans de revenus pour s’offrir un appartement de 60 mètres carrés, selon un rapport de la banque suisse UBS.
LE MARCHÉ DU LUXE REPART
Frappée par une forte crise politique, puis la pandémie de Covid-19, le marché de l’immobilier de luxe est reparti à la hausse. Selon une étude, le prix moyen d’un bien à Hong Kong était estimé à un million d’euros.
En février dernier, un appartement de 313 mètres carrés s’est vendu pour l’équivalent de 49 millions d’euros, soit un prix record de 156 000 euros le mètre carré.
