Le ghanéen Anthony Baffoe, secrétaire général adjoint de la CAF en charge du développement du football a annoncé sa démission à l’issue d’une réunion en visioconférence avec, désormais, ses ex-collaborateurs. Baffoe a été désigné secrétaire général adjoint de la CAF en novembre 2017. Il a donc servi l’instance faîtière du football africain pendant plus de trois ans et demi.
« Je pars la tête haute car, avec votre soutien, nous avons franchi de nombreuses étapes et franchi de nombreux obstacles en ce qui concerne le développement et la promotion du football africain. En tant que premier footballeur à occuper un poste de direction aussi élevé, je suis convaincu que je ne serai pas le dernier.
