Le président de la République du Sénégal, Macky Sall, a présidé, vendredi 20 août 2021 à Dakar, une réunion d’urgence sur les inondations au cours de laquelle le gouvernement a promis soutien et solidarité aux victimes. C’est ce qu’a annoncé la présidence de la République sur sa page Facebook.
Cette rencontre avait pour « but d’évaluer le dispositif de prévention et de gestion des inondations », précise-t-elle.
En outre, la présidence de la République signale que « malgré les importants moyens déployés notamment à Keur Massar, des inondations ont été notées à la suite des fortes précipitations enregistrées ces derniers jours ».
« A l’occasion, le gouvernement a réaffirmé sa volonté de renforcer le mécanisme. Aux victimes des inondations, l’Etat va apporter son soutien et sa solidarité », souligne-t-elle.
De fortes pluies sont tombées ces derniers jours sur la région de Dakar, entrainant des inondations, en particulier dans plusieurs quartiers de la banlieue. A Diamaguène et à Keur Massar, des jeunes ont par moments barré la route pour demander un soutien des autorités pour évacuer les eaux pluviales qui ont envahi les maisons et les rues.
