Selon certaines sources du côté du Nigeria, Anita, la femme de Paul et leurs enfants se seraient installés aux Etats-Unis, depuis quelques mois. Elle aurait exigé à son désormais ex-époux le versement mensuel de 15 000 dollars pour le bien-être général, l’éducation et la santé de leurs trois enfants actuellement dans des écoles aux États-Unis d’Amérique, jusqu’à ce qu’ils soient majeurs.
La nouvelle de la séparation du couple de célébrités a éclaté ce vendredi 20 août 2021. Un document judiciaire prétendument déposé par Anita est devenu viral sur les réseaux sociaux. Le document, qui montrait un avis de requête détenu par la Haute Cour du Territoire de la capitale fédérale, Abuja, dépeint Anita Okoye comme la pétitionnaire et Paul Okoye comme l’intimé.
Dans le document, Paul était libre de rejeter les allégations de la pétition, d’alléguer des faits supplémentaires pour examen par le tribunal, de soumettre au tribunal qu’il devrait rejeter toute procédure engagée par le pétitionnaire ou déposer une plainte en réponse à la pétition. Cependant, le document d’une page, qui semble être un fragment d’un autre plus volumineux n’a pas l’approbation du tribunal. De plus, le numéro de la pétition et d’autres aspects de celle-ci étaient flous.
Pour la petite histoire, Anita et Paul, amoureux de l’université, se sont mariés en 2014, lors d’une cérémonie de mariage très flamboyante qui s’est tenue à Port Harcourt. Ils ont accueilli leur premier fils, André, l’année précédente. En 2017, ils ont accueilli des jumeaux, Nadia et Nathan, qui vivent tous actuellement avec leur maman, au pays de l’oncle Sam.
