Ces dernières années, Nadia Farès fait son retour sur la scène publique. Absente des tournages pendant une décennie, l’actrice de 52 ans a retrouvé le plaisir de jouer au cinéma (Haters, L’amour c’est mieux que la vie…) ou dans des séries (La Promesse, Luther). Sa longue pause volontaire a été une manière pour cette mère de famille, qui fête son anniversaire ce lundi 20 décembre, de se consacrer à ses deux enfants aux États-Unis. En effet, la native de Casablanca (Maroc) a eu deux enfants avec Steve Chasman, un producteur américain rencontré lors du tournage du Transporteur en France.
Au début des années 2000, Nadia Farès rencontre Steve Chasman, producteur de la trilogie Le Transporteur de Luc Besson. Le couple s’est fiancé seulement trois semaines après ce coup de foudre. Ancien étudiant en droit, le producteur du Baiser mortel du dragon (2001) et de Braquage à l’anglaise (2008) a fondé avec succès sa propre société de production. La mère de ses deux filles, Shana et Cylia, partage sa vie de famille entre Los Angeles et Paris. « Je suis partie aux États-Unis, je me suis découvert très ‘maman protectrice’, et j’ai décidé de l’être à plein temps », expliquait Nadia Farès dans les colonnes de Télé Star en mars 2019.
C’est l’heure du come-back
Révélée dans Elles n’oublient jamais (1994), Nadia Farès a attendu de voir grandir ces deux filles avant de regagner le chemin des studios. « Elles ont encore besoin de moi mais disons que l’interaction est différente, elles sont autonomes : un peu trop sur leur téléphone et un peu trop absentes de la maison », avait-elle expliqué à nos confrères de Télé Star, estimant que c’est « le bon moment » de reprendre le travail. C’est en 2016 que la comédienne d’origine marocaine a décidé de faire son come-back dans la série Marseille, sur Netflix. De son côté, son mari Steve Chasman n’a pas chômé : il a notamment produit Fast & Furious (2019), Un homme en colère (2021) ou encore Joker (2015).
