Le rappeur sénégalais Kilifeu, membre du mouvement de contestation « Y’en a marre », inculpé pour corruption et tentative de trafic de migrants, a été remis en liberté, mardi, et placé sous contrôle judiciaire, après trois mois de détention provisoire, a affirmé à l’AFP un de ses avocats.
C’est l’une des figures phares du mouvement de contestation « Y’en a marre » au Sénégal. Le rappeur Kilifeu, inculpé pour association de malfaiteurs, tentative de trafic de migrants ainsi que corruption, a été remis en liberté, mardi 21 décembre, et placé sous contrôle judiciaire, a annoncé l’un de ses avocats. Il était en détention provisoire depuis le 15 septembre.
Landing Bessane Seck, dit Kilifeu, a bénéficié d’une mesure de « liberté provisoire », a déclaré à l’AFP Me Ciré Clédor Ly. Le juge l’a « placé sous contrôle judiciaire et il doit se présenter (à la justice) chaque mois », a-t-il ajouté.
Une manifestation à l’appel du mouvement « Y’en a marre » avait eu lieu, vendredi, à Dakar, pour réclamer la libération de Kilifeu, arrêté le 15 septembre avec un autre rappeur et membre de la même organisation citoyenne, Simon Kouka.
Ce dernier, poursuivi dans le même dossier que Kilifeu, a été remis en liberté provisoire et placé sous contrôle judiciaire le 16 novembre, après, selon la presse, des ennuis de santé en prison.
Une affaire de trafic de visa
Le 15 septembre, un juge d’instruction avait inculpé les deux hommes, entre autres, d’association de malfaiteurs et de tentative de trafic de migrants, et les avait placés en détention provisoire.
Notamment accusé d’avoir facilité, moyennant finances, l’obtention de visas, Kilifeu est également inculpé de « tentative de faux dans un document administratif » et de « corruption ».
Simon Kouka, soupçonné d’avoir loué son passeport français, est en outre inculpé de « complicité d’usage de faux ».
En août, une vidéo montrant Kilifeu en train de recevoir une somme d’argent pour l’obtention d’un visa avait été diffusée sur un site internet.
Les deux rappeurs sont des membres fondateurs du mouvement « Y’en a marre », qui vise à inciter les citoyens à voter et qui milite pour le renouvellement de la classe politique et la lutte contre la corruption.
« Y’en a marre » a participé activement à la contestation politique, mêlée d’exaspération sociale et économique aggravée par la pandémie de Covid-19, qui a secoué en mars le Sénégal.
