Surveillance terrifiante ou solution pratique face au Covid-19? En Suède, une entreprise spécialisée dans les implants à micro-puces a mis au point un pass sanitaire à porter sous la peau, dans un pays déjà en pointe en la matière.
“Je pense que cela fait tout à fait partie de mon intégrité d’être ‘pucée’, de garder mes informations personnelles avec moi”, explique à l’AFP Amanda Back, une Stockholmoise qui utilise la puce sous-cutanée développée par la société DSruptive Subdermals.
Si la pratique reste confidentielle, plusieurs milliers de Suédois se sont fait poser ces dernières années un implant électronique inséré sous la peau pour remplacer clés, cartes de visite, billets de train… et pour certains désormais leur pass vaccinal.
La patrie de la série “Real Humans” est un des fiefs des “biohackers” (“biopirates”) persuadés que ce type de solution est l’avenir de l’humanité, malgré les inquiétudes qu’elles suscitent.
“J’ai programmé la puce de façon à ce que mon pass sanitaire soit sur la puce. La raison, c’est que je veux toujours l’avoir à portée de main et quand je lis ma puce, je fais simplement glisser mon téléphone sur la puce, puis je le déverrouille et elle s’ouvre”, explique Hannes Sjoblad, le patron de DSruptive Subdermals, alors que s’affiche le pdf de son pass sanitaire suédois.
“Une micro-puce implantée coûte une centaine d’euros pour les versions les plus avancées, et si on le compare par exemple aux bracelets connectés qui coûtent en général le double du prix, un implant peut se conserver 30 ou 40 ans. Alors qu’un bracelet se conserve 3 ou 4 ans”, plaide l’entrepreneur.
Pour lui, le pass covid n’est qu’un des exemples d’application possibles, qui “sera plus quelque chose pour l’hiver 2021-2022″, glisse-t-il, optimiste.
L’entrepreneur suédois, qui se dit “très intéressé par les questions de vie privée, considère toutefois avec “une grande inquiétude que beaucoup de gens voient les implants à puce comme une technologie effrayante ou de surveillance”.
Ses implants “n’ont pas de batterie, ils ne peuvent pas transmettre de signal par eux même, donc en gros ils sont endormis, ils ne peuvent pas dire où vous vous trouvez, ils ne sont activés que lorsqu’on les touche avec un smartphone”, souligne Hannes Sjoblad.
Tous les utilisateurs sont volontaires, mais si quelqu’un les rendait obligatoires pour des détenues ou des personnes âgées en maison de retraite, “vous me trouverez sur les barricades pour me battre contre ça”, juge-t-il. “Personne ne doit forcer quelqu’un à porter un implant”.
