The Rock, qui a déclaré par le passé qu’il ne jouerait plus dans les films “Fast & Furious”, a déclaré à CNN qu’il avait été “surpris” par le post de Vin Diesel, parce qu’ils avaient déjà discuté en privé de son départ définitif de la saga.
“En juin dernier, lorsque nous nous sommes vus avec Vin, je lui ai dit directement – et en privé – que je ne reviendrais pas dans la franchise”, a expliqué l’acteur. “J’ai été ferme, mais cordial dans mes propos et j’ai dit que je soutiendrais toujours les équipes et que j’encouragerais toujours la réussite de la franchise, mais qu’il n’y avait aucune chance que je revienne”.

L’acteur a donc très mal pris la publication Instagram de son ancien collègue qui lui demandait de tourner dans le dernier volet, “Fast 10″. “Mon petit frère Dwayne… le moment est venu. Le monde attend le final de Fast 10″, avait-il écrit sur Instagram. Comme tu le sais, mes enfants t’appellent Oncle Dwayne (…) Je t’ai dit il y a des années que j’allais honorer ma promesse faite à Pablo [Paul Walker, NDLR]. Je lui ai juré que nous réaliserions le meilleur Fast, le dernier. Je dis ça par amour… mais tu dois en faire partie.
