La Bourse de Paris a terminé en nette baisse de 0,94% mardi, pénalisée une fois de plus par la hausse des taux sur le marché obligataire, qui dépassent leur niveau pré-pandémie.
L’indice vedette CAC 40 a perdu 67,81 points à 7.133,83 points. La veille, il avait rebondi de 0,82%.
La cote parisienne a démarré la journée avec des pertes encore plus importantes, avant d’en combler une petite partie.
« La problématique du marché continue d’être la remontée des taux d’intérêt » sur le marché obligataire, décrit Valentin Bulle, gérants actions chez Dôm Finance.
Les intérêts pour l’emprunt français à 10 ans sont désormais de 0,37%, alors qu’ils étaient retombés en négatif mi-décembre. Ils n’ont plus été aussi haut depuis le deuxième trimestre 2019.
Le bund allemand à 10 ans, qui fait référence en Europe, est désormais tout proche de repasser en positif (-0,02%) tandis que le taux américain à même échéance est désormais à 1,84%.
Une hausse des taux obligataires pénalise généralement les actions car elle améliore la rentabilité des obligations, des actifs considérés comme moins risqués par les investisseurs.
« C’est notamment vrai pour toutes les actions qui étaient fortement valorisées, comme le luxe à Paris », explique M. Bulle.
Les trois valeurs phares du CAC 40, LVMH, Hermès et Kering, qui ont toutes les trois fait mieux que la moyenne de l’indice depuis l’irruption de la pandémie, sont en net recul depuis le début de l’année.
La hausse des taux s’est enclenchée avec la volonté affirmée par la Réserve fédérale américaine de durcir sa politique monétaire, avec une hausse prochaine de ses propres taux directeurs, pour combattre l’inflation.
Considéré un temps comme provisoire, l’accélération de la hausse des prix dure plus longtemps qu’escompté, et peut encore être renforcée par la hausse des prix du pétrole, qui ont atteint mardi leur plus haut niveau depuis plus de sept ans.
De quoi plomber aussi les marges des entreprises alors que débutent la saison des résultats. Si les résultats de 2021 seront une réussite, « les marchés regardent aussi les perspectives », selon M. Bulle.
Ubisoft profite du souffle d’Activision-Blizzard
L’entreprise de jeux vidéos Ubisoft a bondi de 11,87% à 50,44 euros après l’annonce du rachat par Microsoft de l’éditeur Activision-Blizzard (« Call of Duty », « World of Warcraft », « Candy Crush ») pour 68 milliards de dollars. Ubisoft avait perdu près de la moitié de sa valeur en 2021, tombant à 40,38 euros mi-décembre.
TotalEnergie dopé par les prix du pétrole
TotalEnergies a terminé sur le podium du CAC, (+1,50% à 50,42 euros) bénéficiant de la hausse des cours du pétrole, tout comme TechnipFMC (+2,72% à 6,11 euros).
La tech souffre de la hausse des taux
Comme le luxe, les valeurs technologiques sont plus affectées par la hausse des taux sur le marché obligataire. Teleperformance a perdu 2,74% à 348 euros, STMicroelectronics 2,20% à 42,66 euros, Dassault Systemes 1,55% à 45,36 euros.
