Les relations entre la France et la Mali se sont considérablement dégradées ces derniers mois avec l’annonce, par Paris, de la fin de l’opération Barkhane, la prolongation de la période de transition par la junte ou bien encore l’arrivée sur le territoire malien de miliciens russes.
Vendredi 14 janvier, les Maliens ont manifesté massivement, à l’appel de la junte, à Bamako et à travers le pays, contre l’embargo économique et financier imposé par la Cédéao (La Communauté économique des États de l’Afrique de l’Ouest), accusant la France d’avoir influencé cette décision.
Ces manifestants affirment, comme leurs dirigeants, vouloir défendre les intérêts de leur pays et fustigent la politique de la France au Sahel, coupable, selon eux, d’ingérence dans les affaires de la nation.
