Le ministre français de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères, Jean-Yves Le Drian est visé par une plainte au Pôle économique et financier de Bamako au Mali. La plainte est initiée par le mouvement Maliko, une organisation de la société civile reçue cette semaine par le ministre malien de la Justice Mamoudou Kassogué. Le mouvement Maliko annonce également une plainte en France. Selon ses responsables, sur Wadr, des avocats sont en train de travailler dans ce sens.
L’ancien ministre de la Défense est visé pour son implication « dans l’attribution frauduleuse du marché des passeports maliens ». La confection des passeports a été gérée par une société canadienne. Mais lorsque le contrat est arrivé à expiration en 2014, le gouvernement malien n’a pas souhaité le renouveler. Le marché a été attribué par la suite en 2015 à une société française de la Bretagne « sans appel d’offres », d’après Maliko.
« Il ressort des investigations que l’actionnaire principal de la société Imedia, adjudicataire du marché public de confection du passeport malien n’est autre que Monsieur Thomas Le Drian, fils de Jean Yves Le Drian, actuel ministre français de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères, et ministre de la Défense au moment des faits », déclare les responsables de Maliko lors d’une conférence de presse relayée par Maliactu.
En janvier 2014, Jeune Afrique révélait que Le Drian a obligé l’ancien président Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta à attribuer le marché à la société Imedia au détriment des Canadiens de Bank Note.
