Au Burkina Faso, plus de 2,8 millions de personnes réparties dans 11 provinces sont en situation de crise alimentaire, selon les chiffres publiés par le Comité de prévision de la situation alimentaire et nutritionnelle (CPSA) du pays lors de sa première session de l’année 2022.
Cité par la télévision publique du Burkina Faso, RTB, le ministre de l’Agriculture, des Ressources animales et halieutiques, Innocent Kiba, a déclaré que les résultats « qui vont sortir de ce comité, vont nous permettre très rapidement de mettre en œuvre un plan de réponses pour pouvoir gérer la situation actuelle qui est assez difficile sur le plan alimentaire et nutritionnelle ».
Il a ajouté que des actions d’anticipations avaient été pensées. « Dès la semaine prochaine, des actions seront posées pour l’ouverture de boutiques-témoins pour soulager un tant soit peu la population en attendant que le plan de réponse se mette en œuvre », a-t-il dit.
En outre, a-t-il assuré, des actions sont en cours au niveau du gouvernement pour faire en sorte que cette année, on puisse faciliter l’approvisionnement en intrant pour mieux préparer la campagne agricole prochaine.
Pour le ministre, les conclusions de cette première session permettront au gouvernement de mettre en place un plan global de riposte avec pour objectif de juguler l’insécurité alimentaire, qui menace des millions de burkinabè.
