Au Maroc, des garde-côtes de la Marine royale en patrouille en Atlantique, en collaboration avec un avion de surveillance maritime, ont avorté une opération de trafic de stupéfiants, lundi, au large d’El Jadida. C’est ce qu’a indiqué mardi un communiqué de l’Etat-major général des Forces armées royales (FAR).
D’après la même source, cet avortement a eu lieu « après avoir effectué une course poursuite en mer de plusieurs embarcations de pêche artisanale utilisées dans le trafic illicite et les empêchant à transborder leurs cargaisons à bord de trois cormorans en attente au large ».
Le communiqué informe également que l’opération a permis d’appréhender six trafiquants dont trois de nationalité espagnole et la saisie d’une quantité importante de résine de cannabis estimée à plus de 12 tonnes.
