Pour obtenir une baisse du prix de la farine, les boulangers ivoiriens envisagent une «grève » début juillet. Le président du Haut Patronat de la boulangerie et de la pâtisserie de Côte d’Ivoire (HPBP-CI), Amadou Coulibaly, a annoncé mardi un « arrêt de travail » des boulangers lundi prochain, 5 juillet, pour interpeller le gouvernement sur la hausse continue du prix du sac de farine.
« Comme la situation n’est plus tenable, depuis plusieurs années, à la suite de concertations de nos paires et nos mandants, nous avons convenu de procéder à un arrêt de travail ce lundi 5 juillet 2021 », a déclaré M. Amadou Coulibaly face à la presse, à Abidjan.
Cet arrêt de travail vise à « interpeller les autorités pour qu’une solution idoine soit trouvée, car certains boulangers sont en train de mettre la clé sous le paillasson », a fait remarquer le président du HPBPCI. Le prix du sac de farine de 50 Kg, la matière première du boulanger, est aujourd’hui vendu à 22.500 Fcfa à Abidjan contre 19.250 Fcfa, il y a deux à trois mois; de plus les intrants et les loyers augmentent, alors que le prix du pain reste à 150 Fcfa la baguette, a-t-il souligné.
Les pertes s’accumulent et les boulangers ferment, et dans ce contexte, le Haut patronat du secteur a engagé des discussions avec le ministère du Commerce et de l’industrie qui avait accepté une hausse de 1000 Fcfa sur le prix du sac de la farine.
« Mais, malheureusement, le lundi dernier, une augmentation est survenue sur le sac de farine », c’est pourquoi face à cette « exacerbation » des boulangers, ce mot d’ordre a été arrêté pour interpeller l’Etat, a-t-il expliqué.
Au mois de mai 2021, face aux velléités de la crise énergétique, des acteurs du secteur de la boulangerie avaient voulu faire une augmentation de la baguette de pain, mais le Haut patronat est monté au créneau afin de ne pas en rajouter à la souffrance des populations.
