Le ministre algérien des Affaires étrangères a saisi, hier, la cérémonie de passation de pouvoir avec son prédécesseur, Sabri Boukadoum, pour décliner les priorités diplomatiques de son département. Ramtane Lamamra s’est attardé sur la crise libyenne et la Palestine. En revanche, sur la question du Sahara, il s’est montré peu bavard.
En effet, il n’a abordé le différend territorial que lorsqu’il a résumé les entraves à la construction maghrébine. «Les conflits existants, en l’occurrence celui du Sahara occidental et la crise libyenne, influent sur l’action d’unification des rangs et le bond vers l’intégration et l’unité escomptées», a souligné le chef de diplomatie algérienne.
Il est lieu de signaler que Lamamra n’a pas manqué d’adresser des messages indirects au royaume. Il a notamment invité «toutes les parties dans la région» maghrébine à cesser de «fomenter des crises», d’«imposer le fait accompli» et de «faire preuve de clairvoyance, d’intelligence et de sens de responsabilité» afin d’assurer les conditions favorables «à un avenir meilleur à tous les peuples sans exclusive aucune».
Dans son discours, le ministre algérien des Affaires étrangères a souligné que son pays ne ménagera aucun effort pour «une issue de crise libyenne à la faveur de la paix, de la fraternité, de l’union des rangs et d’un régime démocratique auquel aspire le peuple libyen frère». Le Maroc et l’Algérie mènent, depuis des années, une course pour asseoir leurs influences auprès des protagonistes locaux.
La Palestine est l’autre axe prioritaire de son action. «L’Algérie demeure fermement attachée à l’esprit de l’initiative arabe de paix, et estime que nonobstant la différence de position de certains pays concernant les actions à mener, il est un champ plus large de resserrement des rangs en se conformant à l’esprit de cette initiative», rapporte l’APS.
Lamamra s’est gardé, toutefois, de tirer à boulets rouges sur les capitales arabes ayant établi, l’année dernière, des relations diplomatiques avec Israël, dont le Maroc.
